Dragrace heaven has a new star
Yesterday came the incredible sad news that Kenneth Throndsen has passed away after a short illness.
Kenneth was arguably the most knowledgeable official in drag race in Norway, all organizers, officials and athletes benefited from.
For years he was a monument, not only in Norwegian, but also in European drag racing.
He has held numerous positions, both at home and abroad, and has given his life to drag racing.
Kenneth was friend with everyone and worked faithfully on both the car and motorcycle side. He was clearly a link in our sport.
When Gardermoen Raceway now being upgraded, Kenneth has a good share of the credit.
He sat in the court committee, and is behind many of the solutions.
Therefore, we are very pleased that Kenneth defied the disease and even got to see the status of the track, a few days ago.
This shows how much heart he had for the sport.
Kenneth called us his drag racing family, now we unite in grief.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy goes to his family.
Rest in peace dear Kenneth!
